Foxstone Maltese who were shown but did not achieve their championships

Brutus (Sir Brutus of Foxstone) was my very first Maltese.  He and I hit the showring when he was barely 6 months old.  He was a very structurally sound dog with a very nice coat and actually gained 2 championship points before I finally realized that he truly was not meant to be a show dog due to all of my "novice" mistakes.  My education on Maltese began with Brutus.

Elvis (Foxstone's Hot Tam Here I Am) achieved 8 points including one of his majors before coming down with a major chemistry imbalance due to a food I was then feeding.

Patti is a tiny, very structurally sound girl who gained 5 of her championship points in her short show career.  Patti became very sick after her first season which we later found out she had very bad "female" problems which ended up resulting in her being spayed for her problems to cease.

Ellie Mae (Foxstone's Elusive Dreams) had gained 5 points in her short show career before it became very clear that she needed a forever person that could just spend their life around her which is what she now has.  She was a lot of dog packed in her small frame with a beautiful silk coat, dead level topline and nice front and rear.

Image (Foxstone's Imagine-A-Dream) is the most structurally sound girl in my house with the easiest care silky coat I have ever had here.  But, alas, Image hated the show ring with all of her heart.  I was once told that some dogs are meant for the showring and some are meant for the whelping box which obviously was very true with Image.  Image with her puppy, Champagne, is the best, most protective mom that we have ever had here at Foxstone Maltese.

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Vanity

On this page I will show you some of my Mom's champion Maltese dogs.  Mom is our handler in the ring so sometimes we do not behave as well as we should.

What can I say.............
         we are spoiled!!!

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Mojo

This is "Mojo"
(Ch. Foxstone's High Roller) the day he became a champion.   (He's my Mom's very first champion)...

  "What an exciting day
that was!!!!!"

This is another picture of Mojo.
Just look at him..............
He thinks he's such hot stuff!!!

Sire: Sir Brutus of Foxstone
(Brutus was Mom's first Maltese dog)
Dam: Foxstone's Babooska Lady

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Caesar

Caesar at 9 months old

Sire: Ta-Jon's Bare Necessities ROM
Dam: Foxstone's Babooska Lady

This is Caesar
(Ch. Foxstone's Little Caesar).
He was Mom's second home-bred champion Maltese dog.  He was so much fun for Mom to show!!  His average weight during his show career was 2 1/2 pounds.  Mom said he had that "showdog" attitude and he became a champion very quickly.  He now resides in a single-dog "pet" home where he constantly gets all the love and attention he much deserves.

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Vanity
Sire: Ch. Rebecca's Desert I'm Regal
Dam: C and M's Glimmering Star

Drum roll please!!!!!!!! This is me..... Vanity (Ch. Bechtel's Vanity of Foxstone) Aren't I buu-tee-full!!!!! I am Mom's third champion Maltese dog in the showring but I know I'm first in her heart.  I'm also head of the household here.............  hehehe.

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Cruiser
Sire: Ta-Jon's Bare Necessities ROM
Dam: Foxstone's Sparkling Blu Star

This is "Cruiser"   (Ch. Foxstone's Cruiser Dreams).
My Mom lovingly refers to him as the "Cruz-monster".  He actually thinks he owns my Mom!!!  Little does he know...............
Mom says he's going to be a daddy soon......I will believe it when I see it!!

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - DeeDee
Sire:  Ch. Foxstone's Cruiser Dreams
Dam:  Foxstone's Dream Weaver

This is "DeeDee".
(Ch. Foxstone's Daydream Believer)
Mom says she is very stubborn and was a "showdog" only when she felt like it.  DeeDee is such a show off though.  Here she is in her favorite pose at a dog show.  DeeDee would much rather sit like this for hours than to walk on a lead in the show ring for three minutes.

Mom says that DeeDee is doing her
 "prairie dog imitation".

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - P'Nut
Sire: Ta-Jon's Bare Necessities ROM
Dam: Ta-Jon's Merry-Go-Round

This is Ch. Foxstone's Freedom Flight or "P'Nut" as she is lovingly called by our human father, who has seriously spoiled her.  When mom is giving out treats, P'Nut actually goes and finds dad so that he will pick her up and then she gets all the good treats while the rest of us are all on the floor........ that's really not fair!!!!!

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Charm

Sire: Ch. Bar-tel With Reasonable Doubt
Dam:  Foxstone's Sweet Expectations

Charm is known as Miss
Snooty Toot here at home

This is Ch. Foxstone's Charm'N Xpectations or "Charm" as she is lovingly called.  Charm was shown 3 times as a 9 month old puppy and obtained her first 2 points.  She then was held out due to other show dogs in front of her.  At one point mom had six girls in full coat and decided Charm was to be one of three that was cut down and to become a mom.  Charm re-entered the show world in December of 2003, (she was just under 4 years old) and eleven shows later over 4 week ends she had obtained her Championship.

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Champagne
Ch. Foxstone's Champagne On Ice
Sire: Ta-Jon's Bare Neccessities ROM
Dam: Foxstone's Imagine-A-Dream

Champagne finished her championship with a total of 4 majors and three single points.  She was so much fun to show due to her look-at-me attitude and flashy movement in the show ring.  This is a very special girl here, since she is my (Vanity) great grand daughter and the last offspring of Teddy's before he crossed the rainbow bridge.  She also has a lot of my mannerisms  which mom says can be looked at as sometimes good or bad....LOL

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - BillyB
Then there is BillyB......
What is there to say?  He is ornery, playful, obnoxious, loving, and the biggest clown in the house, but BillyB is also the youngest champion here at Foxstone Maltese.  BillyB was only 13 months old when he obtained his  championship.  On the right he is shown with Tonia Holibaugh receiving a four point major on the day he became a champion.  BillyB went to Tonia only needing 6 single points for his championship so lucky for her (and for us), she only had to show him 3 times..........LOL  He can be such a little turd-apple sometimes............

Champion Maltese Dogs at Foxstone Maltese - Adam

Along comes Adam (Ch. Foxstone's Indecently Up-N-Adam) with his flawless  movement and his gentle temperament completed his championship in very short time.

Adam is, by far, the absolute sweetest boy in our house according to mom.  He loves to play and please unlike some of the rest of us here.

Our latest champion here at Foxstone Maltese is Ch. Foxstone's Indecent Daydream who is lovingly called 'Puppet' here at home.  She is a litter sister to Adam (pictured above) and is just as sweet as he is.  Puppet was expertly handled to her championship by our close friend, Tonia Holibaugh.
